Answer: 22

Work Shown

Plug x = -2 into h(x).

h(x) = x^2 + 5

h(-2) = (-2)^2 + 5

h(-2) = 4 + 5

h(-2) = 9

Don't forget to square the negative sign along with the value itself.

Plug x = 3 into f(x)

f(x) = 2x+7

f(3) = 2*3 + 7

f(3) = 6 + 7

f(3) = 13

Then finally,

h(-2) + f(3) = 9 + 13 = 22 is the final answer

GeoGebra or Desmos can be used to verify.
