The slope of each line is calculated as: 1. m = 2; 2. m = 5/4; 3. m = 7/5; 4. m = -7/4; 5. m = 3/5; 6. m = -1/4; 7. m = 3; 8. m = -1/2; 9. m = 1/6.

How to find the slope of a line?

For any given line, the slope can simplify be calculated by finding the ratio of its rise to its run between any two points on the line. In other words:

Slope (m) = rise/run = change in y / change in x.

An upward slope will yield a positive value while a downward slope will yield a value that is negative.

1. Slope (m) = rise/run = 4 units / 2 units

m = 2

2. Slope (m) = rise/run = -5 units / 4 units

m = 5/4

3. Slope (m) = rise/run = 7 units / 5 units

m = 7/5

4. Slope (m) = rise/run = -7 units / 4 units

m = -7/4

5. Slope (m) = rise/run = 3 units / 5 units

m = 3/5

6. Slope (m) = rise/run = - 2 units / 8 units

m = -1/4

7. Slope (m) = rise/run = 6 units / 2 units

m = 3

8. Slope (m) = rise/run = - 2 units / 4 units

m = -1/2

9. Slope (m) = rise/run = 1 units / 6 units

m = 1/6.
