Final answer:

The low RAM, insufficient processor power, and the Quadro 600 graphics card may be the reasons why your son can't play games on his new PC. The new PC cannot play games likely due to insufficient RAM, an entry-level processor, and a graphics card designed for professional use, not gaming.

Step-by-step explanation:

The reason your son might not be able to play games on his new PC is because of the low amount of RAM. The 1 GB of RAM is quite insufficient for modern games which often require at least 8 GB of RAM to run smoothly. Additionally, the Intel Pentium G3240 processor might not have enough processing power to handle demanding games.

The Quadro 600 graphics card also plays a role in the inability to play games. While the Quadro series is designed more for professional applications like CAD and video editing, it may not be optimized for gaming. Gaming graphics cards like the GeForce series are usually better suited for gaming.

To improve your son's gaming experience, consider upgrading the RAM to at least 8 GB or more and investing in a gaming graphics card like the GeForce GTX series.

The new PC cannot play games likely due to insufficient RAM, an entry-level processor, and a graphics card designed for professional use, not gaming. The PC's specifications fall below the requirements of modern games, and upgrading the RAM, processor, and graphics card is necessary to achieve gaming capability.

The reason why your son can't play games on his new PC could be due to the limited RAM (Random Access Memory) and potentially dated hardware. Modern games typically require at least 8 GB of RAM for optimal performance, with more demanding games requiring even more. Although you mentioned that the PC is extremely good, with only 1 GB of RAM, an Intel Pentium G3240 processor, and a NVIDIA Quadro 600 graphics card, it is significantly below the minimum requirements for most of the current games.

The Intel Pentium G3240 is an entry-level processor that isn't designed for modern gaming, and the NVIDIA Quadro 600 is a professional graphics card focused on workstation use for tasks such as CAD and digital content creation rather than gaming. Both of these components are not suitable for the high-performance needs of current games. Additionally, the very low amount of RAM would severely limit the ability to run games, as it is responsible for storing the information that the PC needs quick access to. Without sufficient RAM, the PC cannot handle the complex tasks required by games.

For gaming purposes, upgrading the RAM, processor, and graphics card to meet the requirements of his favorite games would be necessary. It is also important to check compatibility between the components when considering upgrades. This could be a valuable learning opportunity for you and your son to research and understand the specifications needed for his gaming needs.
