The equation is solved for n to give n = the quantity 4 times c minus 3 all over negative p . Option A

To solve for n, we have that the equation is given as;

−np − 5 = 4(c − 2)

Take the unlike value over the equality sign, we have;

-np = 4(c -2) + 5

now, divide both sides by the coefficient of n which is -p, we have;

n = 4(c-2)+ 5/-p

expand the bracket

n = 4xc -8+5/-p

collect the like terms, we have;

n = 4c - 3/-p
