The scale factor applied to quadrilateral A to create quadrilateral A is 3/2

What scale factor was applied to quadrilateral A to create quadrilateral A´?

From the question, we have the following parameters that can be used in our computation:

The figures

Where, we have

Figure A and A'

The corresponding ordered pairs on both figures are

A = (1, -1) and (2, 3)

A' = (1.5, -1.5) and (3, 4.5)

Divide the corresponding pairs to calculate the scale factor

So, we have

k = (3, 4.5)/(2, 3)

Using one of the coordinates, we have

k = 3/2

Hence, the scale factor is 3/2
