3/10+2/6= please explain

Answer: 19/30

Explanation: you have to make sure both fractions have the same denominator in order to add them. You will find that the lowest common factor between 10 and 6 is 30 so you can do this
(3*3)/(10*3)+(2*5)/(6*5)
That way it is 9/30+10/30
And that way you can add them together to equal 19/30
