you At a clothing store, a sign in the window says, "Clearance sale: 15% off all items." You find a shirt like with an original price of $30.00; however, a sticker on the tag says, "Take an additional 10% off the final Drice." How much will this shirt cost after the discounts re taken? 4.

Answer:

Explanation:

First you get a 15% off and then you get 30% off the discounted price so your going to want to take 15% off the $30 which will make you multiply the 15% from the $30 which is 0.15 × $30 = $4.50. (0.15 is 15% but in math form) Now you have to subtract from the original price $30 - $4.50 = $25.50, you are now going to do the same thing you did with the 15% and multiply the 10% from the $25.50 which is 0.10 × $25.50 = $2.55 and then for the Final cost your going to subtract the $2.55 from the $25.50 so you can get the discounted price $25.50 - $2.55 = $22.95

So the final price of the shirt will cost $22.95
