One last time why dont we.

This time we are given a cylinder to find the area of which is pretty fun ngl.

Lets take a look at the formula for a cylinder :

Volume =
`\pi` x r² x h

Now this may look weird cause that house thing is for sure not a number but trust me it is easy once you know what you're looking at.

So that house thing is called pi, and really it is worth 3.14 just it looks like that for some reason. But it is used to find the area of circles.

So what we are going to do is find the area of the circle which is the base of the cylinder and multiply it by the height to find the total area.

Again lets see what we are given :

Radius = 8

Height = 15

Now we plug this into the formula :

Volume =
`\pi` x r² x h

Volume =
`\pi` x 8² x 15

(don't forget your little 2 after the radius (8))

So first lets do pi x 8²

=

Which gives us roughly around 201

So now we have the surface area of the base circle of this cylinder, all we have to do is multiply by the height.

So :

201 x 15

=

(don't forget your little 3 cause its 3D)
