The probability that a randomly selected ice cream was ordered on a Saturday given that the ice cream was chocolate is 1/3

How to find the probability

To find the probability we use the formula

= required outcome / possible outcome

From the given data:

Required outcome

= chocolate and Saturday

= 2

Possible outcome

= Total ice cream on Saturday (Vanilla and chocolates)

= 2 + 4

= 6

plug in the values

= 2/6

= 1/3
