Step 1: swap x and y
x=3(5th root)(y+2)
Step 2: Solve for y
x/3=3(5th root)(y+2)/3 divide both sides by 3
(x/3)^5=((5th root)(y+2))^5 square it by 5 to get rid of the 5th root
(x/3)^5-2=y+2-2 subtract 2 from both sides
Final answer:
Y=(x/3)^5-2
