It's a very difficult question here. I would say it depends on what was done by the individual. If someone has been arrested for murder, do you think they should be killed in return? Or spend the rest of their lives in their jail cells going crazy. Knowing that the outside world will never again be seen by them. This relies on the viewpoint of things and the punishment. If someone stole a store's money and got arrested for it, do you belive that the store can take the robber's money? Or that the thief ought to go to jail? It would be an endless cycle if the robber stole from a store and stole back from the store. No one would be "punished" or "rewarded" really. It depends on the crime commited
