The y-intercept of the exponential function is (0,1)

Determining the y-intercept of an exponential function.

An exponential function takes the form
f(x) =a* b^x. The constant a and b represent the constant initial values and base of the exponential respectively.

The y-intercept of the exponential function is the value on the y-axis when the x equal zero. To find the y-intercept, we set x to be equal to zero.

f(x) = (1/2)^x

f(x) = (1/2)^0

f(x) = 1

Therefore, we can conclude that the y-intercept of f(x) = 1/2^x is (0,1).
