Put the equation into slope intercept form
y=mx+b

m = slope

b = y intercept


8x-10y=20

Add 10y on both sides


8x=20+10y

Subtract 20 from both sides


8x-20=10y

Divide both sides by 10


(8)/(10) x-2=y

Simplify


(4)/(5)x-2=y

As we can see
(4)/(5) is m so it is the slope
