Answer: B. x = 2/4

Reason:

The thing they need to share are the sandwiches (y), where x is the amount of sandwich per person, so that goes in the equation first.

4/2 is 2 so that doesn’t make sense.

C isn’t an option because there are 4 people in this word problem. Don and his 3 friends = 4.

D isn’t right because there’re 2 sandwiches, not 1.
