(a) Write an equation for y in terms of x.
(b)your equation to determine the value of y when x=36

Answer:

a)y=x+6

b)y=42

c)

Explanation:

if x=8 ,y=14that means that y=x +a thus y=14,x=8 14=8+a hence a=14-8. a=6 thus y=x+6

using the equation in a above y =x+6 ,x=36 thus y=36+6 hence y=42
