The value of angle 1 is 43°

Angles on parallel lines are either corresponding, alternate or vertical to each other. In this case this angles are equal.

This angles are formed when two parallel is cut through by a transversal.

If a straight line is cut through the angle of 98° , one part will be 55 and the other part will be 98 - 55 = 43°

The other angle is related to angle 1 and therefore

angle 1 = 43° , corresponding angles

therefore;

the value of angle 1 is 43°
