Notice that 8 can be written in exponential form of
2^(3)

When you see
(2^(3) )^{(8)/(3) } , recognize that
(a^(m) )^(n) =a^(mn)

3 ×
\frac{8}3} = 8

Hence, the answer is
2^(8) . Which means 256.

Here is some indices rules/formulas you might find helpful as well:

a^(m) * a^(n) =a^(m+n) \\\\ a^(m) /a^(n) =a^(m-n) \\\\ (a^(m) )^(n) =a^(mn) \\\\ a^(-m) =(1)/(a^(m) )
