Answer:

12 9/10

Explanation:

The four pieces of wood: 4 x 2 5/8 = 10.5 or 10 1/2

The two peices of wood: 2 x 1 1/5 = 2.4 or 2 2/5

The total of both: 10 1/2 + 2 2/5= 12.9 or 12 9/10

Answer: twelve and nine-tenths feet

Explanation:

I turned the fractions into decimals cus I find that easier.

5/8 = .625 + 2 = 2.625

2.625(4) = 10.5 (multiply by 4 because it is 4 pieces)

1/5 = 0.2 + 1 = 1.2

1.2(2) = 2.4 (multiply by 2 because it is 2 pieces)

2.4 + 10.5 = 12.9

.9 can also be 9/10ths
