Please help me with science ')

During dinner, Siti's grandmother complained that the soup was tasteless but Siti felt the soup was salty. Both Siti and grandmother did not have the flu. Why do these two people taste differ from what they drink?​

You put this in the health and fitness section but I’m pretty sure it would be because the grandma has older taste buds when you get to the age of 60m it is harder for you to tast super sweet or salty foods I’m 100% sure
