Explanation:

Perimeter = 156cm

Let the length be x

Breadth = x-12

Perimter = 2(l+b)

156 = 2(x-12+x)

156 = 2(2x-12)

156 = 4x-24

156+25 = 4x

180 = 4x

180÷4 = x

45 = x

Therefore, length is x = 45cm and breadth is x-12 = 45-12 = 33cm
