slope intercept form is y = mx + b

1. Lets first look for the y intercept (b). On the graph the line intercepts the y axis at 4. 4 is our b.

2. To find the slope (m) remember rise over run. Counting from lower dot, it goes up 3 and left 2. 3/-2. The two is negative because it is decreasing (towards the left of the graph).

3. Now plug the numbers into slope intercept form. y = (3/-2)x + 4.
