?= -5.2
Because plug in numbers
(x,y)
4(-2) - 5y = 18
Pemdas
-8 -5y = 18
Add 8 to both sides
-5y = 26
Divide -5 both sides
y = -5.2
Check:
4(-2) -5(-5.2) = 18
Pemdas
-8 -5(-5.2) = 18
Pemdas, two negatives make a positive
-8 +26 = 18
18 = 18
