First, let's distribute the 3 on the left side and the 2 on the right side:
3(x + 2) = 2(x + 5)

Now, let's simplify:
3x + 6 = 2x + 10

Next, let's isolate the x term by moving the 2x to the left side:
3x - 2x = 10 - 6

Simplifying further:
x = 4

So, the solution to the equation 3(x + 2) = 2(x + 5) is x = 4.

It is 4 because you need to make sure the the variables or on one side and the other numbers are on the other side. And then solve. After doing all that you should get 4. So x=4
