Athens government is a democracy, which means citizens have the power. Athens treatment of women, woman in athens could not chosse their husbands, coudnt socialize, couldnt go out alone. They managed households and raised girls to cook and clean Requirements to be on the council in Athens,30 + years old citizens only--no woman or slaves or foregners. most people in Sparta they were soldiers. Sparta the city-state liked to conquer.
