Explanation:

let's suppose there are two numbers x and y so that it that works that would give the following equations


x*y=6 \\ x+y =-7

now let'S rewrite the first to the form y =


y=(6)/(x)

and plug that into the second one


x+(x)/(6) = -7|*6\\6x+x=-42\\7x=-42|:7\\x=-6

use that to find out what y is


-6+y=-7|+6\\y=-1

you can check that with the first equation
