Listen to the following phone calls to Ana, a favorite local talk show host. Each caller has a problem with someone in his or her family. As you listen to each caller, take notes on his or her problems. After all of the callers have spoken, write a sentence of advice for each caller. You may write your advice in English. You will hear each set of statements twice.

Advice: Andres should take control of the situation and tell his brother that he can have all the fun he wants, but he should do his homework first.

Problema: La mama de Luisa tiene amigos imaginarios y habla por 30 minutos de ellos y de su programa favorito.

Advice: Maria should tell her mother politely to maybe talk about something else like Maria's life. She should suggest if it's okay for everyone to shareout how are they doing or get to know each other more instead of her mom spending time just talking about herself.
