step 1 : you ask yourself how many times 8 can go in to 8 ,8 can go into 8 once so the answer = 1

step 2 ; multiple 8 by 1 it will give u back 8

step3: take away 8 -8 you will get 0

step 4 : ask yourself if 8 can go into 5 the answer =0

step5: ask yourself again if 8 can go into 6 the answer is =0
