Matching the Descriptions with the Distance time graphs

The car is stopped = Graph C

The car is travelling at a constant speed = Graph A

The speed of the car is decreasing = Graph D

The car is coming back = Graph B

From the first graph as the car is stopped the distance travelled by the car will remain constant while the wait time will be infinitesimal because is never constant

The second graph shows that the distance travelled by the car is directly proportional to the time as speed = distance / time . therefore the speed is constant . When the car is deaccelerating, the speed of the car will start decreasing therefore the distance travelled by the car will also decrease.

In conclusion, the emerging curve in the fourth graph shows a change in direction of the car therefore the graph shows that the car is coming back.
