What does it mean that two angles must be complementary?

It means the two angles form a 90 degree corner.

"Complementary" and "corner" both have "Co" as the start, which helps me remember complementary angles add to 90 degrees.

Examples:

  • 40+50 = 90
  • 30+60 = 90
