The graph of the linear equation y - 8 = (1/8)*x is in the image at the end.

How to graph the linear equation?

We want to graph the line that has a slope of 1/8 and that passes through the point (0, 8).

This line in point slope form can be written as:

y - 8 = (1/8)*x

To graph this line (or any line) we just need to find two points that lie on the line, we already know one, but let's find other.

if x = 8

y - 8 = (1/8)*8

y - 8 = 1

y = 1+ 8 = 9

So we have the point (8, 9)

Now just graph the two known points and draw a line that passes trhough both of them.
