One angle of a triangle measures 50°. The other two angles are in a ratio of 9:17. What are

the measures of those two angles?

Answer:

The measures of those two angles are 45 and 85 degrees.

Explanation:

The three interior angles of a triangle add up to 180 degrees.

So if one angle is 50 degrees then

180 - 50 = 130

The other two angles must add up to 130

If the ratio is 9:17 that means there must be 26 equal parts

9 + 17 = 26

130/26 = 5

Every part equals 5 so

9 x 5 = 45

17 x 5 = 85

The measure of the two angles are 45 and 85 degrees.
