The answer is subtract two from both sides. Explanation: because it males the equation even and easier to solve.

Explanation:

Since we want constants only on the right hand side , we have to remove 2 which is on the left hand side. The opposite of +2 is -2 and whatever we do to one side , we must do to the other side. So, The first step that would be used to solve the equation should be Subtract 2 from both sides.
