Chapter begins with an annoyed babysitter with a loud child. Eduardo has to go to the bathroom a lot but cannot go alone so, Carmen has to go with him. He is hungry and is given vegetables that he does not want. He throws a fit and everyone on the plane stares. Carmen is struggling to calm him down, but she can´t and has to call Tami, the flight attendent, over. Tami gives Eduardo a McDonald´s Happy Meal which makes him calm down. When they arrive in San José, Tami gives Eduardo a plastic bear and they say goodbye. Carmen checks to see if they have everything and they do. After 10 minutes, Eduardo has to go to the bathroom again! They find a bathroom, and when they are done Carmen sees how different Costa Rica and the U.S. are. They see a lot of people selling candy, gum, and newspapers outside, but they don´t see Eduardo´s grandparents. They wait outside the airport and Carmen reads Eduardo 10 books but the grandparents are still not there. Both, Eduardo and Carmen are tired and fall asleep. Carmen wakes up to see Eduardo is gone! A babysitter´s worst nightmare has just begun!
