How to graph the system of inequalities?

The graph of the system of inequalities is calculated by applying the following methods as shown below.

The given system of inequalities;

y > - x + 2 --------- (1)

y < 3x - 2 --------- (2)

when x = 0, the corresponding value of y is calculated as;

(1): y > 0 + 2

y > 2

(2): y < 0 - 2

y < - 2

when x = 1, the corresponding value of y is calculated as;

(1): y > - 1 + 2

y > 1

(2): y < 3(1) - 2

y < 1

More values of y can also be obtained if we assume more values x, until we get the solution of the equations as shown in the graph.

The solution of the two system of equation is;

2 < y < - 2

2/3 < x
