Explanation:

since the triangles are similar then the ratios of corresponding sides are in proportion, that is


(ST)/(PQ) =
(SU)/(PR) ( substitute values )


(ST)/(18) =
(5.2)/(36) ( cross- multiply )

36 × ST = 18 × 5.2 = 93.6 ( divide both sides by 36 )

ST = 2.6
