The daily sales change by -$100 per increase in the number of competing Restaurants.

From the graph ; we can deduce the coordinates to calculate the rate of change;

  • (0, 2700) ; (6, 2100)

Rate of change = Change in daily sales / Number of competing Restaurants

  • Change in sales = 2100 - 2700 = -600
  • Number of competing Restaurants = 6 - 0 = 6

The rate of change = (-600 / 6) = -$100

Hence, daily sales change by -$100 per increase in the number of competing Restaurants.
