The radius of a quarter circle is 1 inch. What is the quarter circle’s area? Use 3.14 and round your answer to the nearest hundredth

Answer: 0.79 square inches

Reason

The full circle area would be roughly pi*r^2 = 3.14*1^2 = 3.14 square inches. Take 1/4 of this to get the quarter circle's area.

(1/4)*3.14 = 0.25*3.14 = 0.785 which rounds to 0.79
