-Include a properly-formatted works cited on its own page at the end of the essay (same document).

-Your thesis needs to be one sentence at the end of your first paragraph.

Essay title: The Internet: A Double-Edged Sword

The internet, a powerful tool that has transformed the way we live and communicate, is a force with both positive and negative implications. While it serves as a vast repository of information and facilitates global connectivity, its drawbacks cannot be ignored.

As Franklin D. Roosevelt once said, "The only thing we have to fear is fear itself," but in the digital age, fear often stems from the dark side of the internet.

So, In his book "The Shallows," Nicholas Carr notes, "The Net is designed to be an interruption system, a machine geared to dividing attention." This constant interruption can lead to decreased productivity and heightened stress levels. Additionally, online platforms are breeding grounds for misinformation, as stated by Edward Murrow, "To be persuasive we must be believable; to be believable we must be credible; to be credible we must be truthful."
