XY= 6 feet

YZ= 4 feet

Perimeter = 18 feet

Explanation:

We see on both triangles the like sides are 24 feet on the big one and 8 feet on the little one

So we divide those 2 numbers to see how how many times bigger the bigger triangle is compared to the little one

24÷8=3

The big triangle is 3 times bigger then the smaller one

XY is similar to the side with 18 feet on th bigger triangle so we divide by 3

18÷3=6

XY=6 feet

Now for the next question to find YZ we use the similar side and divide by 3 which is the side with 12

12÷3=4

YZ=4 feet

Now to find the perimeter of XYZ we add all the sides we found together


4+6+8


18 feet
