Answer:

P = 3

Explanation:

whenever we see a variable and number next to each other, we multiply. The value of p is 3 so -2 x 3 is -6. (Remember a negative times a negative is a positive, a positive times a positive is positive, and a negative times a positive is a negative). Then we add -6 + 16 which is 10. Or we could do this: 16 - 6 is 10, which ever's numbers is bigger, the answer will have that number's sign. So since 16 is the bigger number and since 16 is positive, the answer, 10, will be positve.

Hope I helped!
