The table sows a a proportional relation and the equation for the relation is

y = -3x

How to find the equation

The equation for a relation that is proportional, is equation of the form

y = kx

Where k is the constant of proportionality

We solve for k by substituting the values from the table

For x = 1

-3 = k * 1

k = -3

Checking for other values

For x = 2

y = -3 * 2 = -6

For x = 3

y = -3 * 3 = -9

Hence we can say that the equation of the table is y = -3x
