The equation of the quadratic function graphed is: x = 1/4 (y - 4)² - 3

How to write the equation

Quadratic equation in standard vertex form si

x = a(y - k)² + h

The vertex

v (h, k) = (-3, 4)

plugging into the equation

x = a(y - 4)² - 3

The graph passed through (-2, 6) we use it to solve for a

x = a(y - 4)² - 3

-2 = a(6 - 4)² - 3

-2 + 3 = a (2)²

4a = 1

a = 1/4

Plugging in the values we have the equation

x = 1/4 (y - 4)² - 3
