And the price of a toast as T

Kendra charges $1.50 for one toast and two eggs

The equation above will be

2E + T = $1.50

And the other equation is

E + T = $0.90

For the second equation, we make E the subject of the formula

E = 0.90 - T

Now substitute for this in equation 1

2E + T = 1.50

It will now be 2(0.90 - T) + T = 1.50

1.80 - 2T + T = 1.50

T= $0.30

price of one toast is $0.30
