Answer:

slope: 3

y-intercept: 1

slope-intercept form equation: y = 3x + 1

Explanation:

slope-intercept form is y = mx + b, where m = slope and b = y-intercept.

the equation you're given, 10 = 3(3) + b, is already in slope-intercept form and also already has the slope identified (it's 3!) so thankfully that's one less thing to solve for! :)

all you have to do now is solve for b.

first, multiply 3(3).

10 = 3(3) + b

10 = 9 + b

then subtract 9 from both sides of the equation. 9 and -9 cancel each other out, so the only thing you have to do for this step is subtract 9 from 10.

10 - 9 = b

1 = b aka b = 1

and now you have your b value!

so your slope is 3 and your y-intercept is 1.

i hope this helps! have a nice rest of your day <3
