The probability that it will land on not the letter A is 0.8 and the probability that it will land on a vowel is 0.4

What is the probability that it will land on not the letter A

From the question, we have the following parameters that can be used in our computation:

Spinner = 5 sections

Where, we have

Sections = {A, B, C, D, E}

Using the above as a guide, we have the probability of 2 in each spin is

Not Letter A = 4 i.e B - E

Total = 5

So, we have

P(Not Letter A) = 4/5

P(Not Letter A) = 0.8

For the probability that it will land on a vowel, we have

Vowel = 2 i.e A and E

Total = 5

So, we have

P(Vowel) = 2/5

P(Vowel) = 0.4

Hence, the probability is 0.4
