The graph is going down so the slope is negative, from (0,6) count down to (0,0) and count right 12 unit to reach the x-intercept(12,0) the slope is -6/12 or -1/2.

the equation of the line is y=-1/2+6 or x+2y=12

x+2y=12

2y=-x+12

y=-1/2x+6
