Triangle A is a scaled version of triangle B. The dimensions of triangle B are twice the dimensions of triangle A. The area of

triangle B is 144 sq cm.
What is the area of triangle A?

576 sq cm

Explanation:

For example imagine a rectangle, the area of which is width * height = area

If you multiply the dimensions by 2 you multiply the width AND the height which is 2 * width * 2 * height = 4 * width * height

This is true for all scalings, if you times the dimensions by n, you times the area by n^2

144 * 2^2 = 576
