Answer:

y = 8x - 20

Explanation:

the equation of a line in slope- intercept form is

y = mx + c ( m is the slope and c the y- intercept )

calculate the slope m using the slope formula

m =
(y_(2)-y_(1) )/(x_(2)-x_(1) )

let (x₁, y₁ ) = (0, - 20) and (x₂, y₂ ) = (10, 60) ← 2 points on the line

substitute these values into the formula for m

m =
(60-(-20))/(10-0) =
(60+20)/(10) =
(80)/(10) = 8

the line crosses the y- axis at (0, - 20 ) , then c = - 20

y = 8x - 20 ← equation of line
