On the speedometer of a car there are 120 degrees between 20mph and 70mph. How many degrees are there between 30mph and 60mph?

Answer:

(70 mph - 20 mph)/120° = 50 mph/120°

50 mph/120° = 30 mph/x°

50x = 3,600

x = 72

There are 72° between 30 mph and 60 mph.
