The area of the shaded part is 7.5π

The area of the shaded part is obtained by subtracting the area of the sector from area of the circle.

π/3 =180/3= 60

Area of sector = 60/360 × π × 3²

= 1/6 × π × 9

= 9π/6

= 3/2π

area of a circle = πr²

where r is the radius of the circle.

= 9π

area of the shaded part = 9π - 3/2π

= 7.5π

Therefore the area of the shaded part is 7.5π
